§15§Existieren, orientieren, speichern, berauschen, messen, austauschen, rezitieren, schreiben, denken, navigieren, lieben, teilen, regeln, spielen, kochen, bewundern, stechen, töten... §16§Exist, orient, store, inebriate, measure, exchange, store, recite, write, think, navigate, love, share, rule, play, boil, adore, pierce, kill . . . The curators Andrea Branzi and Kenya Hara selected one hundred verbs, connected to one hundred objects, to let us travel across human history; words which relate to actions which relate to objects. Walking through the exhibition Neo-Prehistory at Triennale di Milano and reading this book means becoming lost in a space out of time, dark and multiplied by mirrors that make the exhibition apparently boundless. An infinite space where the hypnotic sequence of artifacts is emphasized by the primeval sound of a heartbeat slowing down and then accelerating rhythmically in a mesmeric cycle. §13§"The curators of this book and its parallel exhibition selected 100 actions and paired each with a single object, in one case dating as far back as 2500 BC, to frame 'the history of human desire into a kind of fixed verse poetry.' Neo-Prehistory is arguably a chronology of design, as it meditates on how humans came to manipulate the world as the complexity of our actions evolved in tandem with our tools."§§〓Metropolis magazine §02§Kenya Hara (1958) is a graphic designer, Professor at the Art University Musashino and communication advisor for Muji.
